The Texas Screening Alliance for Cancer Therapeutics (TxSACT) promotes the development of new treatments for cancer. By providing Texas’ cancer researchers with statewide access to sophisticated high-throughput technologies and services, the TxSACT program can accelerate the translation of basic discoveries in cancer research into clinical applications.

Therapeutic Target Discovery Program
TxSACT Program has assembled a team of outstanding scientists in a multi-institutional consortium, organized under the auspices of the Gulf Coast Consortia (GCC). By increasing the capacity and the accessibility of academic drug discovery research, the new TxSACT Program is aligned with CPRIT’s mission to “create and expedite innovation in the area of cancer research, thereby enhancing the potential for a medical or scientific breakthrough in the prevention of cancer and cures for cancer.”
To use the New Drug Discovery Program, Combinatorial Drug Discovery Program, or Therapeutic Targets Discovery Program begin by submitting and application through our application portal.
The screening application process begins by registering and submitting an application on the online application system.
The TxSACT Program includes three drug discovery programs. These programs are designed to support the full range of experimental approaches being used by Texas’s cancer researchers to address the challenge of developing new treatments for cancer.
TxSACT's drug discovery programs are supported by three cores.
